Brazosport College seeks a collaborative, results-oriented Manager of Workforce Forward to lead its integrated workforce training enterprise. The Manager translates employer and community needs into responsive career training, employer-sponsored cohorts, and customized workforce solutions that connect learning with credentials, employment, career advancement, and regional economic vitality.
Reporting to the Dean of Health, Industrial Technology, and Workforce Development, the Manager serves as the primary point of contact for employers seeking workforce training. The position leads strategy, employer partnerships, program development, financial performance, quality, and growth in alignment with the College mission and Vision 2030. The Manager supervises the Workforce Forward Assistant Manager and coordinates expertise across the College to deliver effective training and measurable results.

Primary Responsibilities

* Develop and implement Workforce Forward's annual strategy, program portfolio, growth objectives, and strategic operating cycle in alignment with institutional priorities.
* Build trusted relationships with employers, industry and workforce partners, economic-development organizations, credentialing bodies, and community stakeholders; identify needs and represent the College in workforce-development settings.
* Translate workforce needs into training competencies, learning outcomes, credentials, schedules, and delivery plans for individual learners, employer-sponsored cohorts, and customized solutions.
* Develop proposals, scopes of work, pricing recommendations, budgets, contracts, and resource plans; monitor revenue, direct costs, financial contribution, receivables, and grant or subsidy use to ensure financial sustainability.
* Supervise, coach, and evaluate the Assistant Manager and assigned staff; establish operating procedures, service standards, priorities, and escalation processes that support consistent learner and employer experiences.
* Coordinate faculty, instructional departments, external experts, career services, advising, testing, finance, institutional effectiveness, marketing, and other partners to draw on existing College expertise.
* Use learner, employer, labor-market, financial, and outcome data to assess performance and determine whether offerings should expand, change, accelerate, pause, or conclude.
* Ensure continuity and growth of employer relationships and customized-training capabilities transitioning from CBIT into Workforce Forward; manage organizational, service, and reputational risks and carry out related projects as assigned.

Work Schedule and Physical Requirements

This is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week, 12-month appointment. Work is primarily in office and instructional settings, with regular travel to employer sites and College facilities. Evening or weekend work may be required to support training delivery and employer needs.
Duties include frequent computer use and communication, occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching, and lifting or carrying materials up to 20 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals to perform the essential functions.

* Valid driver license and ability to travel to employer and training locations as needed. Other certifications may be required based on assigned training areas.

Required Knowledge and Skills

* Knowledge of workforce-development strategy, adult and continuing education, employer needs assessment, competency-based program design, and industry-recognized credentials.

* Skills in program portfolio management, project planning, pricing, budgeting, financial analysis, contracts, risk management, and data-informed decisions.
* Ability to lead employees and cross-functional teams, establish accountability, manage competing priorities, and remove barriers to timely delivery.
* Strong written, verbal, presentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment and attention to detail.
