Job Description Summary
Lincoln Land Community College is seeking qualified, part-time instructors to teach for the Phlebotomy Technician program at the LLCC Medical District location.
The position will include classroom and hands-on laboratory teaching. Duties will include:
- Preparing lessons and course syllabi as needed
- Evaluating and assisting students
- Keeping accurate records of student performance, including following grading procedures
- Providing students with timely feedback
- Collaborating with the program coordinator to address and resolve student concerns, proactively identifying potential barriers to a positive learning environment, and promptly reporting and managing any incidents that may arise in the classroom setting
- Utilizing instructional technology in support of the teaching/learning process
- Developing, integrating, evaluating and reviewing student learning outcomes.
- Design and ensure digital course content meets accessibility standards.
- Tracking consumable lab supply inventory and working with program coordinator to ensure timely replenishment of stock
Instructor's pay will be no less than $33 per hour. Work schedule will depend on student enrollment and class demand.

Position Requirements
Instructors must meet the following minimum requirements:
- A national phlebotomy certification (CPT, PBT, RPT, NCPT or equivalent; must remain active for the duration of employment).
- A minimum of 2,000 hours of recent, relevant work experience in phlebotomy or a related clinical laboratory setting.
- Demonstrated competency in all phlebotomy skills taught in the program curriculum, including but not limited to venipuncture, capillary collection, specimen handling, infection control, and patient identification.
- Knowledgeable in course content and proficient in clinical laboratory procedures, safety standards, and applicable regulations.
- Strong organizational skills and sensitivity to the needs of adult learners.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform hands-on demonstrations during laboratory instruction.
- Demonstrates a professional attitude and reflects the high standards of the institution and the phlebotomy program.
