Additional Information: This position will remain open until filled. Work Hours: Standard College hours are Monday - Friday, 8:30 am - 4:30 pm; Additional hours, including evening and weekend hours, may be needed to meet the needs of the department.

General Summary: Manages and oversees the production of key marketing materials for the college. Writes copy, places advertising, and develops promotional pieces and related communications designed to promote CCAC as the primary choice for academic and career education and training, as well as community and specialized industry programming. Provides strategic marketing communications support to the college and its constituents.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising or related field and a minimum of four years related experience; ad/marketing agency or higher education experience preferred.

Expert writing and interpersonal communications skills required.

Duties:
  1. Serves as project manager on numerous marketing-related projects and communications, including serving as project lead for all projects requested by the Enrollment Services Division. Provides expert industry advice, direction and support to clients on branding, positioning and messaging. Assists with the creation of strategic marketing plans to meet clients' marketing communications goals.
  2. Oversees management of the marketing project request system, ensuring all projects are appropriately acknowledged, assigned and tracked from initial request to project completion. Initiates and conducts client meetings and internal briefing sessions to gather and convey relevant information. Works with internal and external graphic design teams, photographers, printing houses and industry vendors to ensure turnkey production and delivery of client materials.
  3. Places advertising and manages solicitations from outdoor media companies, regional print and digital consumer publications, industry advertisers, school district third-party vendors and community groups. Vets, researches and seeks out advertising opportunities that align with the college's marketing communications strategy and branding.
  4. Conducts industry research, writes copy and produces key college marketing materials including, but not limited to, recruitment-related brochures, announcements, fact sheets and mailers; ads, advertorials and e-blast communications; student handbooks and orientation materials; and community education schedules and annual publications.
  5. Represents the CCAC Marketing & Public Relations Department when required, serving on external and internal committees and participating in major events and industry conferences, such as CCAC Commencement, NCMPR national and district conferences, PA Commission for Community Colleges meetings, etc.
  6. Assists in developing, maintaining and enforcing internal communication protocols and brand standards to ensure brand consistency.
  7. Provides advice and editorial review for external and internal college publications and marketing deliverables to ensure consistency across the college.
  8. Performs other duties as required or as assigned.
