Job Summary/Basic Function:

Brazosport College, a two-time Top 10 finalist for the Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence and Achieving the Dream Leader College, seeks a dynamic and innovative Industrial Process Technology Faculty member for a nine-month, tenure-track position.

Job duties include but are not limited to:

Reports to the Division Chair. Industrial Process Technology.
Collaborates with faculty and subject matter experts on matters pertaining to the developing and redeveloping of curricula, writing syllabi, selecting textbooks, assessing learning outcomes and student achievement, etc.
Develops and instructs courses within the fields of Process Technology using traditional and online instructional modalities.
Demonstrates, observes, evaluates, and provides technical skill feedback to students through close supervision of lab work.
Maintains industry contacts for advisory committee and student employment
Provides academic and professional advising to current and prospective students.
Serves on various College, Division, and Program level committees.
Summer contract extensions or adjunct teaching opportunities are available as enrollment dictates.
Supports the college's student success initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Associate's Degree in Process Technology or related discipline from a regionally accredited college and a minimum of three (3) years of employment in the chemical technology field.
Interest in instructing courses using alternative instructional modalities (e.g., blended, hybrid, online).
Demonstrated ability in working with diverse populations including, but not limited to, age, gender, and culture.
Excellent written and oral communications skills;
Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance candidate's value to the institution.
Teaching experience at the community college level desirable.
