General Statement
The individual assigned to the role of Program and Curriculum Design, Early College Programs, carries out the duties as described in support of MA DESE designated Early College High School Programs. The individual is chosen for their subject area experience, expertise and ability to create and deliver relevant and engaging curriculum. This individual advises on academic readiness, course sequencing and overall course offerings within an Early College Program.
The individual works collaboratively with the Superintendent / Principal of the designated School District, with the QCC Executive Director of Dual Enrollment Programs and with other Program and Curriculum Designers to ensure a cohesive program structure for Early College Students. The individual advises regarding course materials, assessments and the collection of artifacts for determining the fulfillment of student learning outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications
Employee of a Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education Designated Early College High School and / or adjunct or full-time higher education faculty member in good standing.
Location
Remote work and some on-site meetings at a high school designated as an Early College Program by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). To date, QCC's Early College State-designated partnerships include Worcester Public Schools, Marlborough High School and Southbridge High School. West Boylston High School has received funds from DESE for an Early College Planning Grant.
