Job Description Summary
Lincoln Land Community College is seeking candidates for a part-time instructor to teach the CNA to MA (Medical Assistant) Bridge program at Jacksonville, IL Campus.
This non-benefited position will be responsible for the following:
- Make recommendations for updates/changes as needed to maintain currency of the program. Maintain accurate records and submit information by due dates.
- Create and implement effective lesson plans and learning activities.
- Begin each class session punctually and professionally, ensuring a structured and engaging learning environment.
- Deliver dynamic, student-centered instruction that supports individual learning styles and abilities.
- Supervise and assess clinical and lab activities, ensuring skill accuracy and safe practice.
- Monitor student progress through assignments, skills assessments, and evaluations.
- Maintain accurate records of grades, attendance, and performance competencies.
- Provide constructive feedback and support students who may be struggling academically or personally.
- Participate actively in program events, including graduation ceremonies, open houses, staff meetings, advisory board meetings, and professional development.
- Prior teaching experience is preferred.
Daytime availability will be required. Anticipated start date will be start of Spring 2026 semester. Pay will be no less than $33/hr.

Position Requirements
Minimum requirements include:
- A current credential as a CMA, RMA, LPN, or RN (must be active for the duration of employment)
- A minimum of three (3) years of recent, relevant work experience in the field of Medical Assisting or related clinical practice.
- Associate's degree or higher preferred in a health-related field.
- Demonstrated competency in all skills taught in the program curriculum.
- Knowledgeable in course content and proficient in relevant clinical and administrative procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and sensitivity to the needs of adult learners.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods during instruction and labs.
- Demonstrates a professional attitude and reflects the high standards of the institution and the program.
