Minimum Salary: $66,484.49 annually

Maximum Salary: $87,235.54 annually

Basic Function:
Bakersfield College is seeking dedicated, experienced, and motivated individuals to provide leadership, engagement, and discipline expertise in continuing to move the program forward in innovative ways. As a full time faculty member at Bakersfield College, successful candidates will demonstrate commitment to student success through teaching and learning excellence.

This assignment may include teaching courses at various locations, different times, and with different modalities. Bakersfield College offers college courses in the greater Bakersfield area, correctional facilities, high schools, and rural communities using the following modalities: traditional, face-to-face, online and interactive broadcasts.

Other duties include: Establishing effective working relationships with personnel from affiliated clinical education centers and assists with the liaison and coordination between the college and clinical education agencies; participation in student recruitment and articulation, transfer programs; maintaining subject matter currency; developing and revising curriculum; using computer and technology; assessment of program learning outcomes; collegial participation in departmental, college and discipline-specific professional activities..

Assignments will be made in the fall and spring semesters and during the program's extended summer session. Actual schedule assignments may vary as program and institutional needs are met.

Education and Experience:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Baccalaureate degree in radiologic technology, radiation science, healthcare or other field.
Two years of professional experience as a radiographer.



AND The following:



A valid license as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) issued by the State of California, Department of Public Health, Radiologic Health Branch. If an individual does not currently hold this license at the time of application for this position, proof of application for the CRT license must be presented at the time of the interview. This license must be obtained to finalize employment.
A valid Fluoroscopy Permit issued by State of California Department of Public Health, Radiologic Health Branch. If an individual does not currently hold this license at the time of application for this position, proof of application for the fluoroscopy permit must be presented at the time of the interview. This permit must be obtained to finalize employment.
A valid, non-probationary registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) as a Registered Technologist in Radiography.
Demonstrated evidence of meeting professional continuing education requirements as required by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists for continued registration.
Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider Card in BLS.
Demonstrated sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic background and students with disabilities.
Successful completion of a drug/alcohol screening before a final job offer can be made.



Note: Degrees and credits must be from accredited institutions (Title V Section 53406). Any degree from a country other than the United States, including Canada and Great Britain, must be evaluated by an evaluation service.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:

Masters Degree.
One-year experience as a radiologic technology instructor in an accredited JRCERT accredited program.
Experience in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation and academic counseling.
Venipuncture certificate and/or experience.
Advanced licensure/registration in other imaging modalities.
Ability to provide leadership in program and college initiatives.
Ability and willingness to participate effectively in college committee work and in co-curricular and extra-curricular activities that support students and the college.



Salary Grade: Initial placement for all new faculty hires shall be Step 1, Class will range from 1-5 depending on earned degree.
