Deputy Title IX Coordinator / Investigative Analyst

Applications are currently being accepted for Deputy Title IX Coordinator/Investigative Analyst in the People, Culture, & Tech Services Department located at the District Office. Hours are Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Selected candidate must be willing to adjust work days/hours based on the department's needs.
Please note that an employee may be transferred to any site at the option of the Chancellor.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the appropriate sections of federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and guidelines, including but not limited to: Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, Title VII, California Code of Regulations Title 5, the Clery Act (and the Campus Save Act), the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) and VAWA.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the principals and practices of trauma-informed investigations.
- Working knowledge of theories, principles, practices, and procedures associated with student affairs.
- Experience with case management software (i.e. Maxient) to keep accurate records of complaints/investigations and provide ongoing updates, timelines, and oral and written reports to senior administrators and stakeholders as deemed appropriate..
- Knowledge of conflict resolution and mediation strategies to provide impartial consultation and problem solving in response to complaints and inquiries received from members of the campus community, including faculty, staff, students for issues related to Title IX that do not rise to the level of consideration under the Districts Prohibition of Sexual Harassment Under Title IX policy.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, writing and speaking skills, and the ability to communicate effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a time-sensitive environment..
- Demonstrated ability to work with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, including victims of sexual assault, domestic violence, or other types of trauma.
- Demonstrated ability to oversee and manage caseload in a manner that ensures the prompt, effective, and equitable conclusion of such matters.
- Keyboarding proficiency is required.
- Computer application skills (word processing, spreadsheet, file management, web page development and maintenance) are required.
- Multi-tasking abilities and the ability to meet deadlines while remaining focused and composed are required.
- The ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.
Range 10 ($5,513.71- $9,205.36) per month based on the current Supervisory and Professional Employees Association - Salary Schedule A
Initial salary placement is commensurate with related experience and promotional rules. The District offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package including employer paid: medical, dental, and vision plans; sick and vacation leave; and opportunities for professional development. Initial Salary Placement, Promoted or transferred employees will be placed as specified in the SPAA - Supervisory & Professional Administrators Association Handbook. This position is FLSA Exempt and may not accrue overtime. A temporary probationary period will be applied to the employee entering this assignment.
